Booking Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction & Definitions

Thank you for choosing Destinations Morocco. As a direct ground tour operator based in Houston, Texas, with an office in Marrakech, Morocco, we specialize in providing premium, luxury, and adventure travel experiences throughout Morocco, working primarily through travel advisors and agencies.

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:
  • "Advisor Partner" means the travel advisor, agency, or agency representative who submits a booking request to Destinations Morocco on behalf of one or more Travelers.
  • "Traveler" means the individual(s) actually traveling on the itinerary.
  • "Client" means whichever party is contractually responsible for the booking — in most cases, the Advisor Partner. Where an individual books directly with Destinations Morocco without going through an Advisor Partner, that individual is both the Client and the Traveler.

By submitting a quote request, requesting a consultation, paying the planning fee, or making a booking with us, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. An Advisor Partner submitting a booking on behalf of a Traveler represents and warrants that they have the Traveler's authorization to agree to these Terms on the Traveler's behalf, and are responsible for ensuring the Traveler is made aware of these Terms prior to travel.

Commission structure, net rates, and the broader business relationship between Destinations Morocco and an Advisor Partner are governed separately by our Advisor Partner terms, not by this document.
These Terms and Conditions govern the booking itself — payments, cancellations, and trip execution — regardless of whether the Client is an Advisor Partner or an individual Traveler.

2. Services Provided

Destinations Morocco acts as a tour operator and travel arranger. We contract with a network of trusted suppliers, including hotels, transportation companies, drivers, certified local guides, and activity providers, to deliver the components of each trip. Our team provides a manager on duty and a local travel advocate with decades of experience to assist with any questions or concerns before, during, and after the trip — available to both the Advisor Partner and the Traveler directly.

3. Planning Fee & Consultations

We offer a complimentary consultation to understand the Traveler's travel vision and confirm fit before any commitment is made.
Should the Client wish to proceed with our planning services, a non-refundable and non-transferable planning fee is required:
  • Groups of up to 7 people: $175.00 USD per person
  • Groups of 8 or more people: $250.00 USD per person
This fee compensates our team for the time, research, and expertise required to build a custom itinerary. It is not an additional cost — it is applied as a credit toward the total trip cost if the booking proceeds. If the Client decides not to proceed, or books elsewhere, this fee is retained by Destinations Morocco as compensation for services rendered.
Where the booking is made through an Advisor Partner, the Advisor Partner is responsible for payment of the planning fee.

4. Payments & Deposits

Deposit:
  • Private tours and FITs: upon approval of the final itinerary, a deposit of 30% of total tour cost is required to secure all reservations.
  • Group tours: upon approval of the final itinerary, a deposit of 50% of total tour cost is required to secure all reservations.

Final Payment:
  • Private Tours & FITs: remaining balance due 60 days prior to tour start date.
  • Group Tours: remaining balance due 90 days prior to tour start date.

Late Payment:
If the balance is not paid by the due date, Destinations Morocco reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled by the Client, and the cancellation policy below will apply.

Where an Advisor Partner is the Client, payment may be collected by the Advisor Partner from the Traveler and remitted to Destinations Morocco, or the Traveler may pay Destinations Morocco directly, as agreed in advance. Regardless of payment path, the Client remains responsible for ensuring full and timely payment.

5. Itinerary Modifications
  • Draft Stage: After payment of the planning fee, we present a draft itinerary. The Client may request up to three (3) modifications at no additional cost.
  • Subsequent Changes During Planning: Further changes incur a $75.00 administrative fee, plus any applicable supplier fees (such as hotel date changes).
  • Changes Within 30 Days of Travel: Treated as cancellation and rebooking where possible, subject to supplier availability and fees.
  • Operational Changes: Destinations Morocco reserves the right to substitute hotels, alter routes, or modify itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, local events, supplier issues), and will always endeavor to provide alternatives of equal or greater standard.

6. Cancellation by Client

Cancellations must be received in writing via email. The date of cancellation is the date the written request is received. This cancellation schedule applies to both Private/FIT and Group Tours:

Time of CancellationCancellation Fee

Note on Supplier Fees:

In such cases, the refund will reflect the recoverable amount from the supplier, minus our non-refundable planning fee.

7. Cancellation or Changes by Destinations Morocco

In the unlikely event we must cancel a tour due to low enrollment (for scheduled group tours) or logistical reasons, our liability is limited to a full refund of all monies paid. We are not responsible for incidental expenses or consequential damages resulting from the cancellation, such as visa fees, non-refundable flights, or lost vacation time.

8. Refund Processing Time

Once a refund is initiated and approved, we process the credit to the original payment method within 15 business days of receiving funds back from our suppliers. Additional time may be required depending on the receiving financial institution's processing speed.

9. Traveler Responsibilities & Assumption of Risk

Travel, particularly adventure travel, involves inherent risks.
  • Documentation: The Traveler is responsible for a valid passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the return date) and any required visas. The Advisor Partner, where applicable, should confirm the Traveler has been informed of this requirement.
  • Health & Safety: Any medical conditions, pregnancy, or dietary requirements must be disclosed prior to booking. The Traveler is responsible for consulting their physician regarding recommended vaccinations and fitness for planned activities.
  • Assumption of Risk: By booking with Destinations Morocco, the Traveler acknowledges that travel involves risks including, but not limited to, illness, injury, theft, terrorism, weather, and mechanical failures, and voluntarily assumes full responsibility for such risks.

10. Limitation of Liability

Destinations Morocco acts as an intermediary for suppliers (hotels, transportation companies, drivers, guides, activity providers). We select these partners carefully but do not own, operate, or control them.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Destinations Morocco disclaims liability for any injury, damage, loss, delay, inconvenience, or expense arising from:
  • the acts or omissions of any independent supplier;
  • any breach of contract or negligence of any third party;
  • any circumstance amounting to Force Majeure (see Clause 12).
Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the tour in question.

11. Minors

Travelers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the trip, unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to booking.
Where an Advisor Partner books on behalf of a Traveler under 18, the Advisor Partner represents that they have obtained the consent of the Traveler's parent or legal guardian to these Terms.

12. Force Majeure
"Force Majeure" means any event beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemics, civil unrest, strikes, natural disasters, government restrictions, or any other cause beyond our reasonable control.
Destinations Morocco shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations due to Force Majeure. If a Force Majeure event occurs, we reserve the right to cancel the booking, offer alternative dates, or provide credit where possible. No refunds will be given for costs incurred by Destinations Morocco that cannot be recovered from suppliers.

13. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all Travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of deposit, covering trip cancellation, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, and baggage loss. Destinations Morocco requires valid travel insurance to be in effect prior to travel. Advisor Partners are responsible for communicating this requirement to their Travelers.

14. Complaints
If an issue arises during the trip, the Traveler (or Advisor Partner, on the Traveler's behalf) must immediately notify the local representative, driver, or our 24/7 emergency line so we have the opportunity to resolve the matter in real time. Failure to notify us during the trip may limit our ability to investigate or rectify the issue, and may affect the right to claim a refund afterward.

15. Privacy
Destinations Morocco respects your privacy. We collect personal information to provide travel services and may share it with our suppliers for booking purposes. We do not sell your data. By providing this information, you consent to its use as outlined in our Privacy Policy at destinationsmorocco.com/privacy-policy.

16. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
